Happy new year everyone! Our first day back yesterday, after a beautiful long summer holiday. Deloitte has made the big move into our new office on Queen Street. The new building is great! It is really open plan and easy to get around. Times are moving fast and Deloitte is keeping up with the green movement; the new office has a green star rating and energy efficient. We all got to our desks yesterday morning to find a cube on each one with drinks, chocolate and gifts, all recyclable - and taste good too! I’m looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings!

We had volunteer day on wednesday, all the interns headed out to Muriwai Beach to help spruse up the landscape. Nothing could beat a little hard work, bbq on the beach and birthday cake! It was a stunner day in Auckland, we all got stuck in, most of us have a few blisters to show for it! It was really nice to give something back to the community. The interns had an awesome day - back to the office tomorrow!

Another great week at Deloitte! So busy, being out at clients and having the big clean up ready to move into our new office in the new year! We had the Audit Christmas party last night, a big thanks to Graham Judge for trusting us at his beautiful house, it was such a good night, from wine tasting, to Mr. Whippy a great 60s band, and everyone having a good dance -who said accountants were boring?!

Hey guys, it’s jandal day in the office today, bit odd everyone walking around in suits and jandals, but it’s for a good cause! We had a partner breakfast this morning with the head of corporate finance in the Auckland office. Really interesting listening to his road to success and great tips for us budding enthusiasts! We had our first hand in of the Deloitte Den today, (Deloitte’s answer to the “Dragon’s Den”), I hope we got some innovative ideas across!
